UNITED STATES—An employee from Fox news affiliate Q13 was fired after allegedly tampering with video of the speech President Donald Trump delivered to the country on January 9.
The video shows a disfigured photo of President Trump that appears to be cropped. His skin was orange appearance and his tongue was lagging out unnaturally to the side.
The Seattle Times reported that news personality and Q13 News Director, Erica Hill investigated the claims of a doctored video and responded in an email on Thursday, January 11.
“This does not meet our editorial standards and we regret if it is seen as portraying the President in a negative light,” said Hill.
Hill released another statement indicating that an employee was terminated after the video.
“We’ve completed our investigation into this incident and determined that the actions were the result of an individual editor whose employment has been terminated,” said Hill.
