SHERMAN OAKS—Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department Van Nuys Division is searching for additional victims who may have been preyed upon by sexual assault suspect Michael Bernback.

According to the LAPD, Bernback was arrested by police in August 2015 when a search warrant was executed at a private residence located on the 4200 block of Sunnyslope Avenue. He was taken into custody on charges of rape. He posted bail and while waiting for a preliminary hearing, Bernback trolled adult websites looking for companionship with women, who he would compensate with money.

Bernback would exceed the activities that were initially discussed, forcing victims to participate in sexual activities that were injurious to the victims. Van Nuys Sex Detectives developed information to indicate that Bernback preyed upon women in this manner since 2013. Bernback appeared on the Bravo reality series “Millionaire Matchmaker” in 2011.
