BEVERLY HILLS—Mischa Barton, 28, star of “The O.C.” is facing foreclosure on her Beverly Hills mansion. The actress and model is at risk of losing the home she purchased in 2005 for $6.4 million.
The star has been facing difficulty making payments to her eight-bedroom home. Property records claim Barton is behind in her mortgage payments by five months, totaling more than $100,000.
In 2010 and 2011, Barton attempted to sell the property, but plans fell through. She is listed to star in several upcoming films which may lead to cash in flow to pay back the outstanding mortgage payments.
