MALIBU—A collision between a truck and a motorcycle left one person injured on Tuesday, October 6 at 11:20 p.m. on SR-27/Topanga Canyon Boulevard, .75 miles north of Pacific Coast Highway.
According to Officer Leland Tang of Wst Valley Area Highway Patrol, the incident happened when the motorcycle attempted to cross over the double lines. No official determination of the accident has been confirmed by officials.
The vehicles involved were a gray 1995 BMW Motorcycle RS and a black 2014 Ford F150.
Canyon News reached out to Officer Leland and confirmed that the motorcycle belonged to a Mr. Fortunato Procopio, 57, from Topanga Canyon. The driver of the F150 was Mr. Richard Fluentes, 49, from Canoga Park.
The description of injuries sustained are unknown, however, Mr. Fortunato is receiving medical care at UCLA. His condition is unknown at this time. Mr. Fluentes sustained minor injuries and was not transported to a local hospital.
