MALIBU—On Saturday, May 2, a motorcyclist collided with a vehicle at 11 a.m. at the intersection of Malibu Canyon Road and Harbor Vista Drive, between Pepperdine University and the Hughes Research Center. Lanes were closed in both directions for two hours.
The crash happened on the morning of the graduation ceremony at Seaver College, Pepperdine’s undergraduate school. Graduation ended at 12:30 p.m. and the closing of Malibu Canyon Road caused some traffic issues.
The motorcyclist was airlifted from the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Air Operations and treated for leg injuries.
