HOLLYWOOD—LAPD West Bureau Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing information that will lead to the identification of the suspect responsible for the murder of 54 year-old Louie Rodriguez on September 21.

 Rodriguez was attending the Hollywood Music Festival, where he was riding his motorized scooter at the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue at around 12:40 a.m., when he was assaulted by an unknown suspect who punched him in the face causing him to fall on his head.

 Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics arrived on the scene and transported Rodriguez to the hospital, where he remained in a coma until he died from his injuries on October 6

 Authorities have described the suspect as a Hispanic male, approximately 23 years old and standing 6 feet tall. His body type is lean and he has ear expanders in both ears. No motive for the attack has been established.
