The Deaf Conference was held by the National Association of the Deaf (NAD), which was founded in 1880 “by deaf leaders who believed in the right of the American deaf community to use sign language, to congregate on issues important to them, and to have its interests represented at the national level. A pre-conference board meeting was held on June 29 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. before a delegate registration, an Order of Georges and Georgettes (OGG) Breakfast, Council of Representatives I & II and a Regional & Affiliate Caucus were held on June 30. On July 1, a general registration was held, following by a Council of Representatives II &IV, a General Forum that was open to all NAD members, an Education Advocate Orientation, an Opening Ceremony and a Regional Affiliate Caucus.
On July 2, the first four sessions consisted of 24 workshops that were held from 8:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., along with a Kids Camp, a Council of Representatives V, a GLBT Luncheon, College Bowl Preliminaries 1 & 2, a Regional & Affiliates Caucus, Community Forum and Drag Bingo were held.
On July 3, the day starts with a Gallaudet Breakfast before continuing with workshop sessions 5 and 6 will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., consisting of a total of 12 workshops, and will be held throughout the day. The day will also include a Kids Camp, an NAD Exhibit Hall, a Council of Representatives VI, Elections, a Youth Luncheon, a Regional &Affiliate Caucus, and a College Bowl Finals.
On July 4, the final day of 24 workshops will be held during sessions 7–10 from 8:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. The day starts off with an RIT/NTID Breakfast, followed by the NAD Exhibit Hall, Kids Camp, Senior Citizens Luncheon, Parents Gathering, an optional Regional & Affiliates Caucus. The day concludes with a Panoramic Fireworks Bash & Live Auction to celebrate Independence Day.
On July 5, the day consists of NAD registration, the NAD Exhibit hall, and ASL Festival and a Youth Ambassador Competition. On Sunday, July 6, the NAD Conference concludes with a NAD Post-Conference Board Meeting.
