SANTA MONICA—A 36-year-old suspect was arrested on January 21 after she was allegedly found naked in the shower of a home that she had burglarized.
Santa Monica police officers responded to the home on the 800 block of Grant Street, after receiving a call about a female suspect involved in a break-in.
Upon arriving to the scene, officers met with the resident of the home who reported that he had left at approximately 12:30 p.m., returning at 10:45 p.m. to discover an unknown woman showering in his bathroom.
Having ransacked the home, the female suspect allegedly noticed the resident had returned, and promptly gathered her possessions to flee the residence.
Armed with a clear description, officers were able to locate the suspect and arrest her on charges of burglary. Her bail was then set at $50,000.
