BEVERLY HILLS—Former NBA star Roger Brewer, who played as a forward for the Chicago Bulls pled not guilty to DUI charges, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced on Wednesday, June 11.

Ronald Charles Brewer Jr. is being charged with one misdemeanor count each of driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and driving with a .08 percent blood alcohol content. Brewer’s case also includes an allegation that the defendant’s concentration of blood alcohol was 0.15 percent by weight or more.

According to a press release from the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office, an attorney was present in court on behalf of Brewer. Another hearing has been set for July 15 in Department 143 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Airport Branch.

The suspect was stopped on February 19 near Wilshire Boulevard and Rodeo Drivein Beverly Hills and was filed on May 12. Deputy District Attorney Stephanie Miyata is the assigned prosecutor on the case. The BHPD is investigating the case.
