New Parking Standards Proposed

BEVERLY HILLS—New development standards of single-family homes in Beverly Hills went into effect on December 4. The purpose of these new standards are to support the proper development in the City’s single family neighborhoods.

The new standards have an impact on the construction of new homes throughout the central area of Beverly Hills.

The City Council adopted new standards requiring more parking spots in relation to the number of bedrooms in order to minimize the number of cars parked in the front of homes.

Anyone building a new home, remodeling or adding a bedroom is required to meet the new standards for on-site parking as listed below:
