LOS FELIZ—This weekend, Our Mother of Good Counsel Parish is hosting their annual fall festival to benefit their church and school. The festival runs from Friday, October 9, to Sunday, October 11.

Our Mother of Good Counsel, or OMGC, is an 80-year-old Catholic institution that boasts a multicultural and involved student body. The school has children in grades from Kindergarten to 8th grade, and their mission is to promote “the growth of faith in Christ, academic excellence, and responsible citizenship”, according to their website. They are known for having many community events on campus, such as “On The Lot”, hosting a weekly array of food trucks in the parish parking lot every Monday night. For updates each week’s selection of food trucks, follow On The Lot on Twitter.

Raffle tickets will be sold throughout the event, with $5,000 dollars as the first prize, an iWatch Sport as the second prize, and a year of Amazon Prime or Netflix as the third prize. The raffle will be drawn on Sunday evening.

On Friday, the festival will be open from 6-11 PM. On Saturday, it will be open from noon-11 pm, and on Sunday it goes from noon-6 pm. There will be a breakfast on Sunday from 9 am-12 pm with food and mimosas.
