MALIBU—An overturned car shut down the eastbound lanes near Las Flores Canyon Road on the Pacific Coast Highway from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3. The vehicle flipped over after colliding with another car. 

According to The Malibu Times, the Los Angeles Fire Department found the flipped car by La Costa Beach on PCH. During the blockage, Sgt. Escalante told The Malibu Times, “Eastbound traffic is being directed through the center median.” 

According to reports, seven people suffered minor injuries from the accident. Sgt. Escalante said that each of the victims were taken to the hospital. He indicated the accident was reported at 5:03 p.m. to the Malibu/Lost Hill’s Sheriff’s Station. 

All eastbound lanes of Pacific Coast Highway were re-opened to drivers by 7:30 p.m.
