BRENTWOOD—On Tuesday, November 19, the Brentwood Planning Commission looked over the William Lyon Homes’ plan to transform the El Sol at Palmilla Neighborhood of Brentwood into a stylish neighborhood with eco-efficient designs. According to William Lyon Homes LLC, they will be presenting four different layouts for the homes they will introduce to the area.

The area was previously owned by the Pinn Brothers, but fell into bankruptcy back in 2008. Discussing the lot that was previously owned by the bank, the planning commission questioned Senior Planner, Jeff Zilm, regarding previous experience building homes like the ones that were under review.

According to the notes on the event, “Bill Hezmelhalch, the architect, talked about the project’s floor plans, colors, architecture, and vision, as well as his firm’s relationship with William Lyon Homes.”  The Brentwood Planning commission closed noting that a few features to the homes need to be tweaked again before their next meeting on December 3. The homes range from two to three floors and will debut in spring 2014.
