SANTA MONICA—Last week, the Santa Monica Police Department put out a bulletin for a sexual assault suspect who allegedly violated three women by groping them from his 10-speed bicycle.

Two of the victims were assaulted on Tuesday, June 22, around 14th Street and Santa Monica Boulevard. The third was assaulted two days later, in the vicinity of Second and Strand.

According to the police report, the suspect rides his bike up close to the victims, and then “grabs their buttocks, breast, or genital area.” He is described as Latino, 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 180 pounds, with facial hair. He was last seen wearing a chef’s outfit with a black and white checkered design.

In regards to the case, Sergeant Jay Trisler of the Santa Monica Police Department told Canyon News, “We’ve had a few calls, but we’ve not been able to identify anyone as the suspect yet.”
