HOLLYWOOD HILLS—On Saturday, October 24, at approximately 8:55 p.m., a police pursuit lasting seven seconds ended in a car crash at Franklin and Cherokee Avenue.

The police gave chase to a suspected drunk driver, who ran into a car carrying three people, Officer Robert Kim of the LAPD West Traffic Division informed Canyon News.

After the crash, the suspect and his passenger attempted to flee the scene on foot, but they were both immediately captured.

All five people involved in the crash were taken to the hospital. There were no reports of any serious injuries sustained.

The suspect was arrested for a DUI, according to Officer Kim. Sergeant Elizabeth Ellis of the LAPD West Traffic Division indicated to the Associated Press that the suspect may be booked on felony hit and run.

The names of the victims and the suspect have not yet been released to the public.
