WEST HOLLYWOOD—Authorities are seeking the driver of a car involved in a hit-and-run collision in West Hollywood on Sunday, November 26.

According to officials from the Los Angeles County Sherriff’s Department, the collision transpired when a vehicle traveling north near the 1200 block of La Brea Avenue attempted to make a turn and collided with another car in the oncoming lane. The second vehicle was forced into the storefront of Trendsetters Barbershop,  Deputy John Heald of the Sherriff’s Department informed Canyon News. The driver of the second car was reportedly transferred to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries by paramedics.

The driver who caused the crash fled the scene without attempting to render aid or contact authorities. Police were still searching for the hit-and-run driver as of Monday.

Detective Heald told Canyon News that the case “really depends on the witnesses.” He acknowledged that video footage of the scene was obtained by police and is being reviewed as part of the investigation.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Detective Heald at the Los Angeles Sherriff’s Department’s West Hollywood station at (310) 855-8850.
