WEST HOLLYWOOD—The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for additional victims of a West Hollywood promoter who may have been sexually assaulted to come forward.

Omar Talley, 22, of San Fernando has been charged by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office with three counts of rape with multiple victims, two counts of oral copulation, and one count of forcible acts of penetration. He was taken into custody by authorities on July 11.

Talley who is originally from New Jersey relocated to California several years ago. He identified himself to be a nightclub promoter and social media influencer who would frequent nightclubs in West Hollywood and Hollywood areas.

According to police officials, Talley would befriend young women in their early twenties that he met at Hollywood nightclubs. He would then summon rideshares to transport himself and the women he met to his Lake Balboa home in the 6600 block of Valjean Avenue. It was there at his residence he claimed an after party would be held.

“It appears Omar Talley would be charming just before the sexual act, then change his demeanor and force the women to perform sexual acts against their will,” stated Detective II Katherine Gosser.

Allegedly there were multiple assaults and several victims fled the scene. On the evening of July 11, one young woman escaped the assault which led to Talley’s arrest. After she escaped the victim immediately summoned officers from the LAPD West Valley Station to her location.

Officials commenced their investigation which revealed that Talley forced the victim to perform sexual acts, then he physically assaulted her, and spoke degrading words to her during the commission of the criminal act.

Last week during his arraignment Talley pled not guilty and is due back in court on Friday, July 26 in Van Nuys. A court date is scheduled to determine if there is enough evidence for Talley’s case to proceed. He is being held at the Pitchess Detention Center location in Castaic and his bail is set at $1.6 million.
