BEL AIR—Authorities are warning Bel Air residents about four burglary suspects they apprehended.

Police responded to a possible trespassing situation at around 7:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Maybrook Drive of Bel Air on July 2.. At the scene, police found two men and two women drinking alcohol and swimming in the pool of a house under construction. The men were identified as painters hired to work on the home. The women were apparently there as their dates.

Damage to the second floor of the home, and the absence of certain items, led the police to believe that a burglary had occurred. Officials searched the suspects’ vehicles, finding missing items that were later identified by the homeowner.

The Los Angeles Police Department arrested Mario Martinez, 35, Elmer Rodriguez, 27, Teresa Ascencio, 46, and Lesly Zepata, 18.

The LAPD urges West Los Angeles residents who believe that they may have been a victim of a construction burglary, may have hired one or both of the suspects, or who have seen the suspects near a construction area to call (310) 444-1522.
