WEST HOLLYWOOD—On Monday, August 20, a pop-up diner called Saved By The Max will open from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The opening will be in celebration of the hit 90s sitcom “Saved by the Bell’s,” 29th anniversary of its first-aired episode. Saved By The Max’s website boasts, “With Michelin Star Chef Brian Fisher of Entente at the helm, dishes are fun, with modern touches to diner fare.”

The pop-up diner is located at 7100 Santa Monica Boulevard in the Gateway Shopping Center. It’s decorated to look just like the diner on the TV series. Reservations include “Dinner Served at the Max!” which features prepaid reservations of parties of 2 to 12. “Dinner in Belding’s Office” will offer patrons a room that is modeled after Principal Belding’s Office. “Brunch in Belding’s Office” offers a brunch menu and for parties of 2-4. All reservations cost $40 per person.

The menu features character-inspired plates and drinks. Some of the entrees have names like “Preppy Pastrami,” “The Kelly Kapowski,” “Tori’s Fried Chicken” and the “Bayside Burger.” Other items include “Mr. Belding’s Fries,” “Miss Bliss’ Sausage,” or “Bayside Bacon,” as sides. In terms of cocktails, the menu offers a “Zachary Daiquiri,” “Lisa’s Spritzainaroni,” and a “Saved by the Slushy.”

The pop-up diner premiered in Chicago last year.
