BEL AIR—On Wednesday, October 5, a Porsche Cayenne collided into a home causing a gas leak.

According to NBC Los Angeles, the crash took place around 4:50 a.m. in the 2500 block of Roscomare Boulevard, noted the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Los Angeles Station.

Chris Conte, the owner of the home informed NBC Los Angeles, the vehicle jumped the curb of his neighbor’s driveway before striking his home’s main gas line.  Conte smelled gas and evacuated his family from the residence.

The impact of the crash slammed dresser drawers open and caused a large debris  to enter the bedroom of Conte’s daughter’s, NBC Los Angeles reported.

The driver was taken into custody while officials investigated the cause of the crash. Gas was shut off in in the region, while officials worked to fix the leak.
