WOODLAND HILLS—On Tuesday, May 11, Rams safety T.J. McDonald was arrested on a DUI charge, according to ESPN. He was released around 6:20 p.m. on the same day on a $300 bail with a prospective court date set for June 3 at the Van Nuys municipal courthouse.

At 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, the Los Angeles Police Department arrived on the 22900 block of Gershwin Drive. Allegedly McDonald had run into a parked car. Officers evaluated McDonald and booked him at 3:40 p.m. for a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence-other.

It is suspected that McDonald was under the influence of something other than alcohol. The Rams released a statement on Tuesday saying, “We are aware of the incident involving T.J. McDonald this morning. We are gathering information and will have no further comment at this time.”

Canyon News tried to reach the LAPD for more information, but was unable to gather any new details regarding the case.

McDonald was a third-round pick of the Rams in the 2013 NFL draft after playing college football in Southern California. He has started 37 games with 219 tackles, four sacks, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries, according to ESPN.
