BEVERLY HILLS/WEST HOLLYWOOD—A new reconstruction project is taking place in Beverly Hills on Santa Monica Boulevard between Beverly Boulevard and Palm Drive. Reconstruction work is expected to also transpired in the westbound lanes of Santa Monica Boulevard between Sierra Drive and Doheny Drive.

The construction will impact residents in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood with road closures. Construction is expected to last from March 5 thru March 26, with schedules subject to change. Two eastbound one-way lanes will remain open during construction, but on Saturday, March 17 and Sunday, March 18, Santa Monica Boulevard will be reduced to one lane. On March 24 and March 25 there will be no westbound traffic lanes open.

Construction workers will remove and replace roads, fix roads that have gutters, and raise some cross-walk intersections. Scheduled times for construction will transpire from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday to Friday. The reconstruction will also involve upgrading the storm drain system and upgrading American with Disability Access standards, amongst other enhancements.
