SANTA MONICA—An unidentified body was found behind a wall at the base bluff on 800 block of the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) Saturday June, 22 by an unknown individual. Authorities from the Santa Monica Police Department arrived to the scene around 1 p.m.

“The body was severely decomposed with a wallet attached. It has not been confirmed if the identification matches,” said Lt. Candice Cavarrubias Public Relations Officer of the SMPD in a phone interview with Canyon News.

No details regarding how long the victim was at the location or when they died has been disclosed to the public. The case is under investigation with the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.

One lane on the PCH was closed for investigations until 4 p.m.,by the Santa Monica Police Department.
