LOS FELIZ—Heather Repenning, of Los Feliz, still holds second place over Graciela Ortiz in the election for a seat on the board of the Los Angeles Unified School District. The Los Angeles County Registrar/Recorder updated last week’s preliminary numbers with provisional and additional absentee ballots.
According to the latest results Jackie Goldberg, of Echo Park, still holds first place. Goldberg’s numbers fell slightly from 48.45 percent to 48.2 percent. She will face a run-off with the runner up on May 14.
The results with the additional details are listed below:
-Jackie Goldberg, 15,913 votes: 48.20 percent
-Heather Repenning, 4,334 votes: 13.13 percent
-Graciela Ortiz, 4,299 votes: 13.02 percent
-Cynthia Gonzalez, 3,220 votes: 9.75 percent
-Allison Bajracharya, 1,984 votes: 6.01 percent
Six other candidates garnered under 4 percent of the vote.
The next update on the election will be on Friday, March 15. The results of the election will be certified on Friday, March 22 and will be official on Tuesday, March 26. Less than 100 ballots remain to be counted.
