MALIBU—The Ventura County Fire Department responded to a residential fire that occurred near the Lazy J Ranch on Sunday, October 31.
A fire department spokesman stated to Canyon News that the fire happened on the 12000 block of Cotharin Road near the Lazy J Ranch in Malibu. The fire department responded to a call around 10:06 a.m. and the fire was controlled at 10:41 a.m.
There were eight units of firefighters at the time of the incident. It is not exactly known when the firefighters cleared the area, but the last unit was available before 2 p.m.
