BEVERLY HILLS—The city of Beverly Hills is inviting residents to join top BH professionals for the second “Heart Healthy Lunch and Learn” event on Thursday, July 24 in the Magnolia Room at the new Roxbury Park Community Center from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. The City and the Cardiovascular Research Foundation of Southern California will host the event.

The CVRF supports and funds innovative research and provides physician and patient education that is aimed to advance the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. The organization was founded in 2007.

According to a press release from the City of Beverly Hills, this year’s theme is “Live Love & Joy” and will include a light lunch and expert tips from Harold L. Karpman MD, chair of the Cardiovascular Research Foundation and co-founder of the Cardiovascular Medical Group. He will showcase effects of stress and other risk factors related to heart disease.

The Amanda Foundation, a non-profit rescue organization in the City, will also participate in the workshop and share details with attendees on how caring for your pets can de-stress and help stabilize a healthier lifestyle. Pets will be up for adoption at the event.

Dr. Karpman is a nationally renowned cardiologist with more than 40 years of experience treating cardiology health in the City and Southern California.
