HOLLYWOOD—The Los Angeles Police Department held a press conference on Monday, August 30, to announce that a $55,000 reward will be offered for anyone that can provide information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the party responsible for the murder of Ila Ali Packman.

Packman was murdered on June 24, while volunteering as a clerk at the medical marijuana clinic Hollywood Holistic 2. He was discovered at the medical clinic with multiple stab wounds, and was pronounced dead at the scene. In addition to the murder, there was approximately $3,000 worth of stolen marijuana and equipment.

The press conference took place in the LAPD Police Administration Building, with City Council President Eric Garcetti, County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, LAPD Deputy Chief David Doan and several of Packman’s family members on hand to announce the $55,000 reward offering. The ongoing investigation that began on June 24, has led to no one coming forward with information that could lead to the development of clues on the potential suspects.
