TOPANGA CANYON—Rick Schroder, 49, was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence for allegedly attacking his girlfriend. He was released after posting a $50,000 bond Wednesday, May, 1.

Officials from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department arrived to Schroder’s home near Malibu around 12:43 a.m. Wednesday where they witnessed attack marks on the female victim’s body. Those marks were used as evidence of a fight dispute between Schroder and the unidentified female victim.

The victim, denied medical attention at the scene, but Schroder was taken into custody and charged with felony domestic violence.

Canyon News reached out to Schroder’s publicist via phone, but did not hear back before print.

According to police reports, last month Schroder was involved in another case of domestic violence with the same female, allegedly his girlfriend. The victim dropped all charges against him on April 2.

The actor divorced his former wife, Andrea Schroder, 47, in September 2016. The two were married for 24 years and share four children together Holden, Luke, Cambrie and Faith. The divorce settlement included physical custody of their youngest daughter Faith.

The childhood star is best known for his debut role on “Silver Spoons” back in 1982, and a mature role on “NYPD Blue” playing Danny Sorenson.
