SHERMAN OAKS—On October 7, two armed men disguised as police officers allegedly kidnapped the driver of a pharmaceutical delivery truck and took the whole shipment of drugs it was carrying, according to police.

The reported incident took place at a Sherman Oaks Rite Aid pharmacy at around 7:15 a.m. on the 13000 block of Riverside Drive, where the suspects accosted the driver and held him up at gunpoint.

With one of the suspects following in a Honda Accord, the other suspect drove in the delivery truck with the victim to an area approximately two miles from the scene, where two men released him uninjured.  It was later found that the suspects had abandoned the stolen truck in Reseda.

According to police, the gunmen, who had been dressed in simulated police uniforms, are still at large.
