OAKLAND—The Golden State Warriors snapped a 12 game win streak, losing to the Houston Rockets 132-127 in double overtime.

Kevin Durant scored a game-high 39 points for the Warriors, and  grabbed 13 rebounds. Steph Curry had 28 points, three rebounds and five assists; Draymond Green added 20 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists before fouling out.

“There are going to be nights like that. You’ve got to find a way to win,” Durant said after the game. “We put ourselves in a good position to win.”

James Harden led the Rockets offensively, recording his fourth triple-double of the season with 29 points, 15 rebounds and 13 assists. Ryan Anderson scored 29 points while Eric Gordon added 23 off the bench.

Rockets guard Patrick Beverly described the victory as a “statement win” after the game.

“A statement win to show the whole NBA that we can compete with anybody in the league,” Beverly said. “We’re a very confident team. That’s the one thing coach instilled in the team.”

Houston is now 12-7 overall, fourth in the Western Conference. The Rockets play the Denver Nuggets on Friday, December 2.

The Warriors retain the NBA’s best record after the loss, falling to 16-3 on the season. Golden State will face the Phoenix Suns in their next game on Friday, December 2.
