BEVERLY HILLS—The community is invited to attend the re-opening of the Roxbury Park playground on Saturday, April 4. The playground was recently upgraded in June 2014, with the addition of the Community Center and Park, and a renovated playground that includes rubber surfaces, innovative equipment, overhead shading and a sand and water play area.

According to a press release from the City of Beverly Hills, Roxbury Memorial Park is one of the most beloved parks in Beverly Hills.

Beverly Hills places a high priority on parks, recreation and community services,” said Steven Zoet, Beverly Hills Director of Community Services. “Roxbury Memorial Park is a special part of our City’s rich history and an important place for learning, recreation and relaxation. These improvements will bring the playground up to a higher standard that is deserving of one of our most beloved community parks.”

The park is located on 471 S. Roxbury Drive. It features picnic table rentals with use of park barbeques, four well-lit tennis courts, lawn bowling, croquet and putting greens, a baseball diamond/soccer field, a basketball court and sand volleyball courts. The park is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
