Santa Claus Burglar On The Loose

STUDIO CITY—The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public’s help to locate a burglary who has been targeting homes in Studio City.

Between November 28 and December 3, a suspect wearing a scarf and a Santa Claus hat knocked on the front door or rang the doorbell of various homes throughout Studio City. The LAPD Blog reported that when no one answered the door, the suspect gained entry to the backyards of the homes, would smash a rear patio sliding door or back window and enter the homes.

Once inside, the suspect stole cash, jewelry, safes, and firearms before leaving. In the video it shows the suspect utilizing a flashlight as he scoured the home once inside. Police reported a get-a-way driver has been seen in a dark sedan waiting at each home that was burglarized.

The suspect is described as an 18-25 year old African-American male. He stands 5 feet and 10 inches tall, weighs around 140-160 pounds and has a tattoo along his right jaw line.
