SANTA MONICA — Santa Claus will be spreading good cheer with the city’s police officers and firemen on Saturday, December 7 as part of their 21st annual “Candy Cane Drive.” Santa will be handing out candy canes and posing for pictures, making six 30-minute long stops from 10:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.

His first stop will be at Douglas Park, located on California Avenue and 25th Street, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. His second stop will be from 11:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at Christine Reed Park, located on California Avenue and Lincoln Boulevard. From noon to 12:30 p.m., he will be at the Third Street Promenade where it intersects with Wilshire Boulevard. Fourth on Santa’s list is VirginiaAvenue Park ( 2200 Virginia Avenue) from 1:45 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. and fifth isMarine Park ( Marine Avenue and 17th Street) from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. His last stop will be from 3:15 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. at Clover Park on Ocean Park Boulevard and 25th Street.

Santa’s sleigh, since he will be accompanied by the bright lights and sirens of public safety vehicles, will be hard to miss.
