WEST HOLLYWOODSheriff’s deputies have released a sketch of one of three suspects involved in an attack in West Hollywood back in May. Kirk Doffing, 45, was walking near Santa Monica and San Vicente boulevards on Memorial Day Weekend at about 9:10 p.m., when three men punched him to the ground after a dispute.

Back in May, Doffing was walking down San Vicente Boulevard after visiting Rage, a bar in Santa Monica Boulevard, when he was approached by three Hispanic men in their 20s who were wearing black clothing. The victim exchanged words with one of the attackers when he was punched three to four times in the face. The attackers then ran off towards Melrose.

Sgt. Richard C. Bowman, of the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Department said, “There seemed to be a verbal argument between the two, we don’t know what it was about, we don’t really know what was said, but at that point, the suspect assaulted him.”

After being punched, Doffing fell to the ground and fractured his skull, leaving him in a medically induced coma for a couple of weeks. He is still being treated at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.

Last week, the city of West Hollywood offered a $10,000 reward in exchange for information on the attacker that would lead to a conviction. Witnesses came forward with descriptions, allowing the West Hollywood Sheriff Station to release a sketch of a suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call the West Hollywood Station at (310) 855-8850.
