SANTA MONICA— Santa Monica Police Chief Cynthia Renaud is inviting the Santa Monica community to gather with the members of the Santa Monica Police Department for National Night Out 2019, joining in a national celebration of community and police partnership with thousands of other cities on August 6.

The national police-community partnership event involves over 16,500 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases around the world. In Santa Monica, the local police department will celebrate the relationship between the SMPD and the community with an event at City Hall. Through this close partnership, the SMDP will continue to ensure Santa Monica is a safe place to live, work and visit.

Residents, visitors, and other guests are invited to attend the family-friendly event complete with free food, music and giveaways. Art celebrating positive police and community relationships will be displayed during the day.
