BEVERLY HILLS—Tina O was off to Elton John’s party, but before she left, the Beverly Hills socialite called me to say, “Tommy, wow! I look forward to seeing Elton and my friend Victoria Beckham. Tonight it’s Elton John’s night.” Director of the Elton John AIDS Foundation Scott Campbell tells our insider Tina O, “The benefit party is important because it is one of the top donators to HIV/AIDS projects around the world.” The organization has raised over $175 million since they were founded 18 years ago. This year they expect to raise between $3.5-5 million. “Grace Slick is going to be there I can’t wait to see her change outfits. I will be attending with friends Bill & Tani Austin of Starkey Hearing Aid Foundation,” Hillstrom said.
“Elton is performing this July and he did last year too for their benefit that assists children who cannot hear around the world by giving the gift of hearing,” Tina says. “Tommy, I chatted up Heidi Klum, Miley Cyrus and Simon Cowell, who was very charming. And I got to see your friend Betty White, who is going to be doing ”˜SNL’ soon.” When asked who were some of the best dressed ladies at the party, Tina O said, “Victoria Beckham was stunning.”
Then it was on to the Vanity Fair party, where Tina and Brad Hillstrom, two of the best dressed people in town danced the night away. Tina concluded that she, “Hung out with Erick McCormack” from “Will & Grace” and her longtime friend Christopher Claxton.
Oscar night never ends for Tina O, but she did say the Elton John party gets 5 Kisses® and the Vanity Fair party gets 5 Kisses® as well.
