MIAMI—The home court was no advantage to the Miami Heat as they fell to San Antonio Spurs 107-86 in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. The Spurs are just one game away from becoming 2014 NBA Champions.
The Spurs continued their dominance over the two-time defending champs controlling the pace of the game for the first three quarters. At half-time, the Spurs led the Heat 56-36. Spurs star Kawhi Leonard continued to perform at his highest peak with 20 points, 14 rebounds, three steals and three blocks in the game.
With his performance so far, it looks like Leonard could become MVP if the Spurs win it all. His teammate Tony Parker scored 19 points in the game, while Tim Duncan scored 10 points and 11 rebounds in the game.
LeBron James led the Heat with 28 points, eight rebounds. His teammate Dwayne Wade had a terrible performance scoring only 1 basket in the first three quarters. He ended the game with a dismal 10 points.
San Antonio pounded the Heat with the number of points they scored in the paint. The Spurs scored 46 points compared to Miami’s 30 points. The team also performed better on the rebound front with 44 rebounds compared toMiami’s 27.
