WEST HOLLYWOOD—Superior Court Judge Robert Perry sentenced Domingo Linares Rodas, 58, to life in prison on April 14 for a stabbing spree that left a transient dead.

Rodas was given two consecutive life sentences for the murder of Keith Fallin, a homeless man, during a stabbing incident on August 6, 2009, according to a press release from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. The life sentence included no possibility of parole.

The suspect was accused of stabbing Fallin through the chest once, as he slept in front of the Music Box Theater, now the Fonda Theater, around 2:00 p.m. that day. The victim was taken to Cedars-Sinai Hospital where he died from his injuries an hour later.

Three hours later, a man named Robert Vaughn was attacked and stabbed by Rodas as he walked along Argyle Avenue by Yucca Street. After stabbing Vaughn, Rodas walked away only to stab a third man later on the same day. Both men survived their injuries.

The suspect was caught on camera a few days later and authorities found Rodas’ in possession of the stabbing weapon that was used. He was arrested later in the day. The District Attorney’s Office charged Rodas on August 10, 2009, and he was convicted of one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder in March 2014.
