HOLLYWOOD—Fans of the “Star Wars” franchise received a special treat over the Thanksgiving holiday, as the trailer for the seventh installment in the series, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” The trailer present a bit of bleakness as a narrator voices an “awakening.”
We soon see an unmasked storm trooper played by actor John Boyega, who looks quite worried. From the sand dunes it’s safe to say we’re on Tatooine correct? We get to see a neat robot move around the sandy surface, the storm troopers gear up for battle, and newcomer Daisy Ridley right off on a cool gadget.
Perhaps the moment that has fans buzzing is that figure cloaked in all black entering the woods, with a newly improved light saber in hand! Unlike previous sabers, this one has a nifty saber to the left and right of the handle. Hmm could we be looking at a saber that actually has three swords in one?
Of course it wouldn’t be a “Star Wars” movie without that classic music which is presented to viewer’s right at the end of the trailer. Check out the trailer in all of its epic glory. “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is slated to arrive in theaters on December 18, 2015. The film stars Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Andy Serkis, Lupita Nyong’o, Max von Sydow, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher are all slated to appear in the film.
