MALIBU—According to reports, writer, director and producer Steven Spielberg has sold his 7 bedroom, 9 bathroom Malibu mansion.

The mansion, which Spielberg used as a summer rental for the last couple of years, sold in an off-market deal to an undisclosed buyer for nearly $35 million. The property sits on just under an acre of land and includes over 7,200 square feet. The home features ocean-view terraces, a guest house, swimming pool, courtyards, screening room, and massage room.

The property sits on two adjacent lots which Spielberg first bought in 1989 and 2000 for a total of $6.57 million. During previous summers ,Spielberg made his property available for $150,000 per month.

The three-time Oscar-winner owns the Malibu home with his wife, actress Kate Capsaw. Capsaw is best known for her role as Willie Scott in “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.” The couple met during production of the film, which Spielberg directed.
