HOLLYWOOD-Well, well comic book lovers, it looks like we’re getting major glimpses of the next installment in the “Man of Steel” franchise which has no actual title at the moment, but we’ll go with “Batman Vs. Superman.”

Yep, director Zack Snyder tweeted a photo that appears to have Ben Affleck draped in our favorite vigilante costume of all time. Is the image a sign of the transition the character will take minus the Nolan universe? Only time will tell, but things are definitely looking interesting.

Speaking of Batman, comic book fans were also given a glimpse of the new Batmobile that is slated to appear in the new movie. With all these teases, one may begin to suspect this is a Batman movie more than it’s a Superman movie.

In other news, another X-Men superhero may soon be joining the franchise. According to reports, Channing Tatum may step into the role of Gambit, in the next chapter of the franchise “X-Men: Apocalypse” which is slated to hit multiplexes in 2016.

While the casting has not been 100 percent confirmed, series producer Lauren Shuler Donner indicated in a video interview with TotalFilm, “He’s a rogue, Channing. He’s a rascal.” No details have been unveiled in regards to the capacity the character will play in the next installment, not to mention a potential spin-off film for the character.

“X-Men: Days of Future Past” arrives in theaters on May 23. As for the “Man of Steel” sequel, audiences should expect the movie in theaters in 2016.
