WEST HOLLYWOOD—Canyon News recently reported that a 28-year-old woman was found dead and wrapped in a blanket in a WEHO dumpster.

The body was found in a dumpster behind a deli near Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in the 8700 block of Beverly Boulevard on July 6. Joie Kinney was identified as the deceased and authorities launched an investigation to discover the cause of her death and any possible suspects involved in the crime.

Two days ago a murder suspect was identified for the incident. Authorities released the name of 29-year-old Abdulla Camran as the person wanted in connection with Kinney’s murder. Authorities claimed that Camran was a transient who frequented homeless encampments throughout Los Angeles and West Hollywood, according to a report from ABC7.

A day later, Tuesday, July 19, Camran was spotted by authorities near Arrow Highway in Pomona. Officers approached Camran and he admitted to officers that he was the suspect they were looking for, according to The LA Times.

Camran is being held by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department on $2 million bail.

Kinney’s cause of death have not yet been made available because of a security hold on her case by the Sheriff’s Department, a coroner’s spokesman told the Times.
