SHERMAN OAKS—On Monday, March 4, a man who was suspected to be potentially armed was arrested on the 3900 block of Beverly Glen Boulevard in Sherman Oaks.

Officers were called to the scene after receiving a call of a domestic violence report. The road was shut down in both directions by police as the officers negotiated with the suspect who was located inside the home on Beverly Glen Boulevard. Authorities blocked off the home, and evacuated neighbors as a precaution.

Traffic was backed up for miles on Beverly Glen Boulevard, a major road traveled by motorists avoiding the 405 Freeway during commuting hours, ABC 7 News reported. The road was not immediately re-opened after the suspect was taken into custody. The name of the suspect has not been disclosed to the public.
