HOLLYWOOD—The Los Angeles Police Department Hollywood detective have arrested a suspect who fatally stabbed another man on Wednesday, February 17. A fight broke out between the suspect and victim about money. According to the LAPD blog, authorities responded to a radio call at around 11:15 p.m. of a stabbing near Hollywood Boulevard and Las Palmas Avenue.

Upon arrival, police found the victim lying on the ground with several stab wounds. The Los Angeles Fire Department assisted with transporting the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. As authorities investigated the incident they learned that the suspect got rid of the knife inside of a local club and fled eastbound on Hollywood Boulevard. Hollywood patrol officers were able to nab the suspect into custody on Hollywood Boulevard and Wilcox Avenue.

The name of the victim has not yet been released to the public. He is described as an African-American male in his late 20s.
