MALIBU—The suspect responsible for trespassing onto the property of former Victoria’s Secret Angel Miranda Kerr’s home and attacking two security guards has been charged.  Shaun Anthony Haywood, a 29 year-old Australian man who also goes by the name Esra, was charged on Tuesday, October 25, with attempted murder, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office noted in a press release.

On October 14, Haywood, according to reports, went to Kerr’s home to hand-deliver a letter, but was stopped by a security guard, who Haywood later attacked by stabbing him in the face during the altercation. The suspect was shot by the security guard. His bail was recommended at $1 million. He could face life in prison if convicted. The case is still under investigation by authorities.

Neither Kerr or her son Flynn were home during the incident. This is not the first time Kerr has been linked to break-ins. In 2009, the home of Orlando Bloom had been broken into by the ‘Bling Ring,’ a group of fashion and celebrity-crazed teen thieves. Lingerie belonging to Kerr, who was Bloom’s then-girlfriend, was thought to have been a target for the band of robbers. A film centered around the ‘Bling Ring’ was written and directed by Sofia Coppola in 2013.

Also in 2013, a man named Steven C. Swanson from Massachusetts was arrested for allegedly stalking and plotting to murder Miranda Kerr.
