LOS ANGELES—Police are seeking the community’s assistance in their search for Raymond Lemone Easter.  The 27-year-old man is a suspect in the murder of Matthew Butcher, who was killed while working at the Higher Path Holistic Care Collective in Echo Park.

Easter and two accomplices are the suspects in the burglary of the medical marijuana dispensary on Sunset Boulevard.  The suspects entered the clinic just before 4 p.m. on June 24, at which point they disarmed the security guard and commenced to burglarize the business.  On their way out, the suspects shot both the security guard and Butcher in the head.  Butcher died at the scene, while the guard continues to recover from his injuries.

On July 21, the first suspect Daniel “Scooter” Hinton was arrested in connection with the crime.  He has been charged with murder and attempted murder and is being held without bail.  A week later, a $50,000 reward was put up for information regarding the case, which could lead to an arrest and conviction.

On August 3, Easter was so too charged with murder and attempted murder. Police are searching for the suspect as well as the third suspect.  Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Detectives James King and Dennis English at 213-486-6890.
