WEST HOLLYWOOD—Actors For Oceans and the annual fundraiser benefit evening, will be hosted this year in West Hollywood by award-winning actress Tanna Frederick. Rolling in West Hollywood on October 23 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Falcon Restaurant located at 7213 Sunset Blvd. along with famous friend and event co-host Sam Trammell, who plays Sam Merlotte on the hit HBO series “True Blood.” The event is projected to raise $50,000 for the work of the Mauli Ola Foundation, as well as Project Save Our Surf’s environmental programs. Project Save Our Surf works diligently to protect, preserve, clean and continue to spread the awareness of surfing coastlines around the world, and how it impacts everyone’s lives from drinking water to major economic impact on our world economy when disasters occur.

During the program, PSOS will present the Surfrider Foundation, Heal the Bay Organization and Inside the Outdoors Foundation executives checks from funds raised by this past June’s “Surf 24” event in Huntington Beach. Frederick tells Canyon News, “We’re honored to have such a promising and strong turnout and truly appreciative all of the support for our efforts.” Adding, “Actors for Oceans isn’t just about Project Save Our Surf’s Surf 24 event, it’s about reaching out to Hollywood and the surrounding communities, informing and inciting action for the importance of coastal protection, cleaning and implementing new practices for government and industry. We all live right here. We all love the ocean.”

Actors For Oceans features a rare opportunity to hear live music from honorary board member Sam Trammell “True Blood” star, alongside PSOS member Keaton Simmons. An interactive text based big screen auction will also be held, with music by DJ Ford.
