WOODLAND HILLS—At least seven people were hospitalized on Christmas Day as a result of a multivehicle rollover crash on the 101 freeway in Woodland Hills.

The accident occurred at around 5:45 p.m. on the eastbound 101 Freeway at Winnetka Avenue, according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department tweet.

In total, there were three vehicles involved in the collision and one of them overturned. Paramedics quickly arrived to assess the injured of which there were 10. Although their conditions are unknown, California Highway Patrol reports from the scene reveal that the injuries were minor.

Following the collision, all eastbound lanes were temporarily closed.

A California Highway Patrol SigAlert was issued at around 6:10 p.m. The eastbound lanes were expected to be closed for at least an hour, the log indicated, but the SigAlert was soon canceled, and all lanes were later reopened.
