HOLLYWOOD—In Hollywood it’s not shocking when you learn that a celebrity couple is splitting up. It’s actually quite common: the 7-year-itch affects even non-celebrities. Sometimes if it’s because of a cheating spouse it is extremely devastating; it feels like you have been kicked in the gut and tossed into the gutter.
That’s usually the reason that will keep you up all night wondering what happened, what did I do wrong, watching romantic movies, crying and your new boyfriends become Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. You may ask yourself the same question over and over” Will he cheat again.” The old saying is, “Once a cheater, always a cheater!”
When you are a celebrity, it just hurts so much more, since you are always in the spotlight. The whole world knows your private business. However, there are celebrities, who learn and grow from the emotional hurricane and the loss of closeness in a relationship in the aftermaths of cheating. It also helps when a celebrity has an array of fans.
Back in July, 2011, when Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony announced that they would be divorcing after seven years of marriage, some people were surprised and began speculating. “We have decided to end our marriage,” they said in a statement. Was it cheating, jealousy or issues of controlling? Fans immediately began to say that Marc Anthony was jealous of his wife’s success on “American Idol,” and seemed very controlling in the marriage. It was the third divorce for J. Lo and the second divorce for Marc.
One of country’s music adorable couples will soon be splitting. Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are divorcing after only four years of marriage. “This is not the future we envisioned and it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately,” Shelton and Lambert said in a statement. “We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”
The 39-year-old “The Voice” coach and the 31-year-old songstress tied the knot back in 2011. It was TMZ, who first broke the story noting Shelton filed divorce papers a while ago (the couple were last photographed together on April 19 at the 50th ACM Awards). Reportedly the have a pre-nuptial agreement.
The fans just love them since they made such an adorable couple and comes as a bit of a shock to them. Hours after the pair announced their divorce, rumors circulated that infidelity-on Lambert’s part-was to blame for the seemingly sudden split. Meanwhile, The New York Post reports that Lambert and Shelton’s marriage crumbled in part because she did not want to have children. Back in 2013, the country couple wasn’t immuned to tabloid breakup rumors. They hit Twitter, and laughed off reports they were breaking up. Shelton was married to ex-wife Kaynette when he first met Lambert during an awards show performance back in 2005. The adorable couple began dating back in 2006. Shelton and Lambert do not have any children together. Shelton is scheduled to perform on July 24 at the Country Jam USA in Wisconsin and Lambert on July 28 in Nashville, Tennessee.
