UNITED STATES—A false report regarding Ross Perot donating millions of funds via his children to President Donald Trump and his re-election presidential campaign after his death is not true. Perot, who was Texas-born and Texas-bred died at the age of 89 on July 9, in Dallas, Texas from leukemia.

A report surfaced after the billionaire’s death, noting specifics in his will noting each of his children will donate $9 million to Trump’s campaign. The donation from Perot to the Trump re-election campaign was made by his son, Ross Perot Jr. According to reports, both father and son have been supporters of President Trump.

Ross Perot Sr. was born a child of the depression. He served in the military as a young adult. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he worked in sales for IBM, climbing the ladder until he was able to start his own business, Electronic Data Systems which provided data processing services.

Fortune magazine calling Perot Sr., “The Fastest, Richest, Texan.” Perot became a self-made billionaire leaving his legacy to his children and grandchildren including multiple homes throughout the world including Bermuda.

According to his obituary, Perot Sr. took an active role in politics and ran as an Independent for President of the United States of America in 1992 and 1996. He pioneered the Reform Party who mission was to be a movement that honored all races, creeds, and colors and despised all forms of elitist corruption.
